Our Purpose

NE Cambs Conservatives - Wisbech & District Branch

The Wisbech & District Branch is part of the NE Cambridgeshire Conservative Association, dealing specifically with the Wisbech & District area.

The Conservative Association is an Association of members of the Conservative Party who work for the return of Conservative representatives to Europe, Westminster and Local Government and who raise funds to help further these objectives.

The North-East Cambridgeshire Conservative Association is responsible for the selection and promotion of Conservative Party candidates for the North-Eastern region of Cambridgeshire.

Malcolm Moss About Malcolm Moss MP

Malcolm was born in Audenshaw, Manchester in 1943. The father of two girls was widowed in 1997 and he remarried in May 2000. He was educated at Audenshaw Grammar School from 1954-1962; and St John`s College, Cambridge University, from 1962-66. He achieved a BA in 1965, a Certificate of Education in 1966 and an MA in 1969.

Our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate

Stephen Barclay
Malcolm Moss About Stephen Barclay

We are delighted to announce that Stephen Barclay has been selected as our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate to stand now that Malcolm Moss MP has elected to stand down at the end of his current term.

Steve was born in 1972 and raised in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. After completing his schooling locally Steve was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, on the Short Service Limited Commission Scheme.

After the army Steve read history at Peterhouse, Cambridge and law at The College of Law, Chester, before qualifying as a solicitor.

Steve has had a career in finance and regulation spanning spells at Guardian Royal Exchange, Axa Insurance, The Financial Services Authority, and most recently as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Barclays Bank.

Steve enjoys rugby, playing jazz piano, and skydiving.
